AlphaValue/Baader Europe Trims Entain Price Target on UK Tax Headwinds, Lack of Prediction Market Exposure

"We adopt a more conservative stance on Entain's medium- to long-term outlook, reflecting (a) the company's absence from the lucrative prediction-markets space and (b) the expected impact of higher UK gambling taxes announced in the Autumn Budget," analysts said Tuesday. "While key peers such as Flutter and DraftKings have signalled intentions to expand into prediction-market-like offerings from December 2025, and several new entrants are actively developing event-driven and lightweight betting formats, Entain's limited participation constrains its exposure to this emerging growth opportunity." With a buy rating, the price target was reduced to 9.47 pounds sterling from 13.14 pounds.
