S&P Global: UK Flash PMI Rises to Two-month High in December on Strong Order Growth

04:43 AM EST, 12/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Britain's private sector output accelerated in December, supported by an increase in new order intakes and an improvement in demand in the services sector, flash data from S&P Global showed Tuesday. The flash UK PMI Composite Output Index hit a two-month high of 52.1 in December, compared with 51.2 in the previous month and the consensus of 51.6. Meanwhile, the manufacturing PMI rose to a 15-month high of 51.2 from the prior 50.2 and the expected 50.4. On the services side, the PMI came in at 52.1, a two-month high, against the previous 51.3 and the market forecast of 51.6.
