Japanese space company SPACE ONE announced on December 15, local time, that the company's small rocket “KAIROS” 3 will be launched from the civil rocket launch site “Space Port Kii” in Kushimoto-cho, Wakayama-ken at 11:00 a.m. on February 25 next year. “KAIROS” Unit 1 was launched in March 2024, but due to an error in predicting flight propulsion, it exploded about 5 seconds after launch. Unit 2, which was launched in December of the same year, caused the aircraft's posture imbalance and self-destructed due to sensor and other faults. Although it reached an altitude of about 110 km, it was not possible to launch the satellite into orbit.
