Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of China, visited Jordan from December 14 to 15, 2025 at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Safadi of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The two sides emphasized that the leaders of the two countries are willing to strengthen cooperation to actively benefit the friendly peoples of the two countries. Both sides appreciate the level of cooperation between the two countries in various fields, and will continue dialogue and coordination, expand cooperation, and achieve the development policy goals of the two countries. The two sides held discussions on deepening cooperation between the two countries in traditional fields such as economy and trade, infrastructure, energy, defense, transportation, and justice, exploring the potential for cooperation in new fields such as scientific and technological innovation, communication technology, digital economy, artificial intelligence, and green energy, and expanding cooperation and exchanges in the fields of culture, tourism, news, education and student exchanges, and think tanks. The two sides also discussed measures to facilitate personnel exchanges between the two countries. The parties reiterated their position of adhering to the one-China policy, stressing that the Government of the People's Republic of China is the sole legitimate government representing the whole of China, and that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory. The two sides emphasized the importance of cultural exchanges through culture and art, as well as strengthening cooperation between legislatures.
