The China National Data Administration, the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, and the Information and Communications Media Development Authority of Singapore jointly signed the “Memorandum of Understanding on Co-building New Digital Land and Sea Corridors”, which aims to deepen cooperation between China and Singapore under a strategic connectivity demonstration project, jointly empower the construction of new land and sea corridors through digital transformation, and build a smart economy corridor for the future. According to the memorandum of understanding, the three parties will focus on practical cooperation in the following areas: First, digital connectivity. Under the framework of digital rules between the two sides, the safe and orderly flow of data across borders will be promoted through digital infrastructure exchange and cooperation, and exploring the construction of efficient, convenient, and secure digital channels. The second is digital technology and innovation. Encourage and support enterprises and scientific research institutions of the two countries to carry out joint R&D and scenario application cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, blockchain, big data, etc., and share smart city construction experiences and achievements. The third is digital talent exchange training. Through holding seminars and carrying out skills certification and talent exchange programs, the training of professionals in the digital field is strengthened, and solid talent support is provided for the digital economy.
