The Zhitong Finance App learned that Everbright Environment (00257) reversed the market and rose by more than 5%. As of press release, it had risen 5.2% to HK$5.06, with a turnover of HK$178 million.
According to the news, on November 29, the waste incineration power generation project in Namangan region of Uzbekistan was officially launched. China Everbright International Co., Ltd. is responsible for implementing the project. Previously, construction of the project in Ferghana region had already started. According to the project plan, Everbright Environment will invest US$141.5 million in Namangan State. The plant is designed to treat 1,500 tons of garbage per day, with an annual treatment capacity of 547,000 tons. It produces 227.5 million kilowatt-hours of electricity every year, and is scheduled to be put into operation in 2027.
It is worth noting that Everbright Environmental recently launched a return to the A listing. Tianfeng Securities said that after the issuance of the company's A shares, the AH premium rate may be very high, or there is a possibility that it will drive the company's H share valuation to further increase. The bank pointed out that considering that some countries in Central Asia and Southeast Asia may continue to need waste incineration in the future, we believe that this release can provide more sufficient capital reserves for the company to go overseas in the future. Continue to be optimistic about China's waste incineration industry going overseas.
