Kaldalón to Buy FÍ fasteignafélag's Property Portfolio for ISK13.15 Billion

11:52 PM EST, 12/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Kaldalón (KALD.IC) agreed to buy FÍ fasteignafélag's entire 11-property portfolio for 13.15 billion Icelandic kroner, according to a Dec. 12 release. The targeted portfolio comprises properties in the Greater Reykjavík area of Iceland. It includes a hotel, an embassy, a primary healthcare facility, and office premises with a combined floor area of 25,200 square meters. The Iceland-based property developer will issue 228,112,591 new shares at 25.94 kroner apiece and 7.23 billion kroner of bonds at a 3.93% yield to settle the transaction. Completion of the acquisition is expected in the first quarter of 2026, subject to closing conditions, including the approval of the Icelandic Competition Authority. Upon completion, domestic pension funds that indirectly own FÍ fasteignafélag will become shareholders and bondholders of Kaldalón.
