Sabic Exits Omani Petrochemical Complex Project

06:37 AM EST, 12/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Saudi Basic Industries (SASE:2010), d/b/a Sabic, withdrew from a planned petrochemical complex in Duqm, Oman, Reuters reported Friday. After Sabic's departure, Oman's state energy group OQ and Kuwait Petroleum International jointly hold the project. OQ's chief executive, Ashraf Al Mamari, told the news outlet that they are looking for "both technology solutions providers and partners or even financial partners" for the project. Sabic did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
