Meituan drones opened the first normalized low-altitude medical route in the southwest region at West China Hospital of Sichuan University. It undertakes the delivery of biological samples between hospitals in West China Hospital on a daily basis. According to reports, the route was completed by West China Hospital, Meituan Drone in cooperation with Xinming Intelligence, and received support and assistance from the Western Aviation Administration, the Southwest Civil Aviation Administration, the Southwest Civil Aviation Administration, the Sichuan Civil-Military Integration Office, and the Sichuan Low Altitude Economy Industry Development Co., Ltd. in terms of airspace approval, route planning, and operation. After the opening of the route, there will initially be 3 flights and 6 flights every day. The transfer of medical samples between the main hospital area of West China Hospital and the Jinjiang hospital will be normalized, mainly supporting special testing programs such as genetic testing, autoantibodies, and chromosomes. In terms of improving efficiency, the unilateral transfer time for specimens from the Jinjiang hospital area and main hospital area will be reduced to 15 minutes, and the waiting time for patients to obtain test results will be reduced by more than half.
