On December 11, under the joint initiative and strategic guidance of China Nuclear Industry Group Co., Ltd., China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd., and Tsinghua University, the High-Temperature Air Cooled Reactor Modern Industry Chain Alliance initiated by CNNC Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was formally established in Beijing. The high-temperature air-cooled reactor is a fourth-generation advanced nuclear reactor. It has unique advantages such as inherent safety, multi-use electric steam, and flexible multi-module combination arrangement. At present, China has fully mastered all core technology and intellectual property rights for high-temperature air-cooled reactors, from design, manufacture, construction, commissioning to operation and fuel cycle, and has achieved a fundamental transformation from following to running side by side to leading the world. On this basis, the High Temperature Air Cooled Reactor Modern Industry Chain Alliance will strengthen upstream and downstream cooperation for high temperature air cooled reactors, break through industrial barriers, establish strategic partnerships for enterprises, and comprehensively enhance the integrity, safety, advancement and development resilience of the high temperature air cooled reactor industry chain.
