BP Says Atlantis Drill Expansion Project Delivers First Oil Ahead of Schedule

04:57 AM EST, 12/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- BP (BP.L) and partner Woodside Energy produced first oil from the Atlantis Drill Center 1 expansion project in the Gulf of America two months ahead of schedule. The expansion included two new wells and is expected to add 15,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in gross peak annualized average output from the existing Atlantis platform, according to a Thursday release. The platform has a gross production capacity of up to 200,000 barrels per day. The British oil major holds operatorship and a 56% working interest in Atlantis, while Woodside Energy owns the remaining 44%.
