Shirong Zhaoye announced that the company filed a lawsuit with the San Mateo County Superior Court in California for the infringement of the company's rights by former shareholder and former chairman Leung Ka-wing, suing the law to recover Leung Ka-wing's breach of duty of faithfulness and diligence, betrayed improper benefits obtained by harming the company's interests, and requested compensation for the company's losses. The admissibility court has handed down a first instance ruling on the overseas lawsuit. The plaintiff should receive compensation of US$259 million from defendant Leung Ka-wing, plus interest calculated at US$70831.81 per day starting October 30, 2023. Recently, the company received a notice of appeal against defendant Leung Ka-wing served by the attorney representing him. According to the notice of appeal, Leung Ka-wing has appealed against the first instance ruling handed down by the receiving court. The overseas lawsuit will then be appealed by the district's appellate court.
