Today, the General Office of the People's Government of Hunan Province issued a notice on “Certain Measures to Support the Innovative Development of Hunan Cuisine”. Among them, it was mentioned that by 2030, cultivate a number of Hunan cuisine health value logos, brand demonstration benchmarks, and innovative cultural signs to significantly enhance the influence, reputation and market competitiveness of Hunan cuisine, and achieve a simultaneous rise in consumption scale and quality. Specific measures include establishing a mechanism for cultural inheritance and innovation of Hunan cuisine, establishing a full-chain “reduced salt and oil reduction” new Hunan cuisine standard system, improving the green organic food supply system for Hunan cuisine, innovating industry talent training and incentive mechanisms, and establishing a policy support system for Hunan cuisine to go overseas. In terms of incentives, the “Measures” mention encouraging Hunan cuisine catering companies to expand the international market, and to give each store a maximum subsidy of not more than 200,000 yuan based on 30% of investment in decoration, space rental, facilities and equipment for the first stores set up abroad, in Hong Kong and Macau, etc., with a cumulative total of no more than 500,000 yuan per year for the same enterprise.
