Renault, Ford Partner to Develop EVs in Europe

01:52 AM EST, 12/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- France's Renault (RNO.PA) struck a strategic partnership with Ford to jointly develop the US carmaker's electric passenger vehicles for the European market, according to a Tuesday release. The companies will first develop two Ford-branded electric vehicles at Renault's manufacturing facilities in the North of France. The first of two cars is expected to hit the showrooms in early 2028. Renault and Ford also signed a letter of intent to explore the opportunity to jointly develop and manufacture light commercial vehicles in Europe.
