The Zhitong Finance App learned that Shell-W (02423) fell more than 5% in early trading. As of press release, it was down 4.96% to HK$42.52, with a turnover of HK$185 million.
According to the news, on December 9, the latest US stock disclosure documents showed that Shell co-founder, chairman, and CEO Peng Yongdong sold shares in order to fulfill previous donation promises. This is the first time that Peng Yongdong has sold shares since Shell's US stock listing in 2020. Furthermore, in response to investors' questions on the interactive platform, Vanke recently stated that all of the shares held by the company in Shell have been sold.
It is worth noting that Shell previously released results. The total transaction volume (GTV) for the third quarter reached 766.7 billion yuan, net revenue increased 2.1% to 23.1 billion yuan, net profit of 747 million yuan, and adjusted net profit of 1,286 million yuan. Bank of America Securities said that Shell's third-quarter revenue was 23.1 billion yuan, up 2% year on year, in line with market consensus; adjusted net profit of 1.3 billion yuan, better than expected; and the home improvement and leasing businesses all began to generate significant profits.
