From what we can see, insiders were net buyers in SY Holdings Group Limited's (HKG:6069 ) during the past 12 months. That is, insiders acquired the stock in greater numbers than they sold it.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At SY Holdings Group

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider purchase was by Chairman Chi Fung Tung for HK$30m worth of shares, at about HK$11.29 per share. That means that even when the share price was higher than HK$10.65 (the recent price), an insider wanted to purchase shares. Their view may have changed since then, but at least it shows they felt optimistic at the time. In our view, the price an insider pays for shares is very important. It is encouraging to see an insider paid above the current price for shares, as it suggests they saw value, even at higher levels. Chi Fung Tung was the only individual insider to buy shares in the last twelve months.
