Amazon has resumed building out the Artise, a 25-story project that had been paused for more than a year.
Permit renovations were filed for the 611,000-square-foot skyscraper at 788 106th Ave. to restart work on the Amazon-leased tower that can accommodate thousands of employees, reported the Puget Sound Business Journal. Developed by Schnitzer West, the Artise is a state-of-the-art office tower strategically located in downtown Bellevue.
The public filings indicate that Amazon plans to complete all 25 stories of the tower, with one submission valuing the project at approximately $80 million. Construction had been partially paused back in 2022 as Amazon halted several office projects while reassessing its workplace strategy. The recent filings indicate that Amazon is looking to continue expanding its presence in Bellevue. The e-commerce giant is the largest office occupier in the Seattle area with nearly 18 million square feet.
