Airbus Closes Deal to Acquire Spirit AeroSystems' Industrial Assets

09:10 AM EST, 12/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Airbus (AIR.PA) completed the purchase of Spirit AeroSystems' industrial assets dedicated to its commercial aircraft programs, according to a Monday release. Under the deal announced in April, the European planemaker receives $439 million in compensation, along with certain amounts to cover liabilities. The acquired assets are located in France, Morocco, Northern Ireland, Scotland and the US.
