The International Monetary Fund announced on the 8th that it will officially start operating the Shanghai Regional Center today. The regional center will serve as a hub to promote research and knowledge sharing, provide information for policy formulation in relevant fields in emerging markets and middle-income countries, and work to deepen dialogue and exchanges with member countries and regional institutions. Wei Hanze will be the first director of the Shanghai Regional Center.
