In order to further implement the “Statement of Intent on Establishing the Sino-French Carbon Neutrality Center” signed by the heads of state of China and France, strengthen cooperation in priority areas of climate change and carbon neutrality determined by the 15th Sino-French Joint Committee on Science and Technology Cooperation, and further deepen practical cooperation between the two countries in the field of carbon neutrality and sustainable development, the first Sino-French Carbon Neutrality Center Annual Meeting was successfully held in Beijing on December 4, 2025. The conference was co-hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Space Affairs, and the French Embassy in China. At the meeting, China and France reviewed the progress of cooperation since the establishment of the Sino-French Carbon Neutrality Center, shared best practices on developments in the field of carbon neutrality, and had in-depth exchanges on the next stage of development of the Sino-French Carbon Neutrality Center.
