From November 22 to 28, Wang Jun, Deputy Director of the General Administration of Customs, led a delegation to visit counterpart departments in Kenya and Ethiopia and relevant international organizations. During the visit, Wang Jun met with heads of customs and inspection and quarantine authorities in Kenya and Ethiopia, had in-depth exchanges on topics such as smart customs, capacity building, mutual recognition of “certified operators”, export of agricultural and food products to China, and signed 2 cooperation documents with foreign parties; met with regional heads of the United Nations Environment Programme, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization in Kenya, and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in Ethiopia to exchange views on topics such as combating illegal trade in endangered wildlife and solid waste, maintaining food security, and the “Animal Husbandry Industry Value Chain Enhancement Project” in Ethiopia.
