The Zhitong Finance App learned that recently, Henan Pingdingshan Ranch, a subsidiary of Youran Animal Husbandry (09858), obtained a carbon neutrality certificate issued by the CTC National Inspection Group, and the first “carbon neutral” ranch in the Chinese dairy industry was born! This certification marks that Youran Animal Husbandry has explored initiatives and paths to achieve “carbon neutral” ranching.

“Carbon neutrality” offsets emissions and absorption through emission reduction and carbon removal measures. In 2020, China first proposed a “dual carbon” target. It strives to peak carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 and strives to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060. Youran Animal Husbandry responded positively to the country's call for “double carbon” and took the lead in issuing and implementing “carbon neutrality” strategic initiatives. Currently, it has successively achieved 14 low-carbon achievements in the entire industry chain, including “zero-carbon feed factories,” “low-carbon dairy cattle breeding ranches,” and “carbon-neutral ranches.”

Youran Animal Husbandry Pingdingshan Ranch actively promotes the clean energy layout, using the company's self-developed full-mixed biogas anaerobic fermentation technology, and innovatively applied the “medium to high temperature anaerobic fermentation under dual path gas production” process to treat manure harmlessly while greatly increasing biogas gas production for green power generation; using low-carbon feed; introducing new energy equipment such as electric milk trucks, loaders, and pusher robots to reduce fossil fuel use. Through technological innovation, it is the first in the industry to achieve “carbon neutrality” in dairy farming.
