CrowdStrike Stock Climbs: What's Going On?

CrowdStrike Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:CRWD) shares are rising Wednesday. The cybersecurity company teamed up more closely with NVIDIA to guard AI agents. Here’s what you should know.

  • CrowdStrike stock is climbing after announcing a deeper NVIDIA partnership to secure AI agents in software and hardware.

CrowdStrike Expands NVIDIA Collaboration On AI Security

CrowdStrike and NVIDIA Corp (NASDAQ:NVDA) unveiled a plan at GTC 2026 for watching autonomous AI agents at two levels: the software they run on and the hardware beneath.

The deal builds on Nvidia’s new OpenShell Reference Architecture. CrowdStrike has plugged Falcon Guardian, its AI Detection and Response (AIDR) product, into OpenShell, a secure runtime from Nvidia. A second tie-up with Nvidia Sentry, which enforces policy in the chip itself, is still planned.

Plugging into OpenShell gives Falcon a view of what agents are told, how models answer and what runs afterward. Falcon then checks that activity against the rest of its security data, which helps enterprises catch malicious behavior in agent workflows.

Sentry adds a deeper layer. Planned to run on BlueField-4 DPUs, it would pair AIDR with monitoring done outside the main system and with policy rules enforced in the chip. That gives enterprises a way to detect and contain risky agent behavior the software layer misses.

Executives Back the Approach

CrowdStrike chief business officer Daniel Bernard argues that AI agents have created a fresh attack surface and that “guardrails alone won’t stop an adversary.” Bernard says partnering with Nvidia lets CrowdStrike set the standard for securing autonomous AI.

Autodesk also backed the approach. Chief trust officer Sebastian Goodwin said Autodesk’s customers build structures, products and infrastructure where mistakes are costly, so Autodesk expects the same rigor from its AI agents. With Falcon Guardian, Autodesk can monitor its agents’ actions and access and decide when to step in. Deeper infrastructure controls, Goodwin said, will help customers of all sizes trust their AI.

Nvidia vice president of enterprise Justin Boitano said protection has to reach from the runtime to the infrastructure underneath once agents go into production. OpenShell supplies the base for runtime security and hardware enforcement, Boitano said, and the two companies are working to deliver it at scale.

CRWD Shares Are Rising

CRWD Price Action: CrowdStrike shares were up 4.17% at $236.85 at the time of publication on Wednesday, according to Benzinga Pro.

CrowdStrike crossed above its 50-day moving average of $233.79 on Wednesday. The stock is above its 50-day and 200-day moving averages, but still below its 20-day moving average ($256.37), suggesting the shorter-term trend has been weaker than the longer-term setup.
