Waters: Q3 Earnings Snapshot

MILFORD, Mass. (AP) — MILFORD, Mass. (AP) — Waters Corp. (WAT) on Tuesday reported third-quarter earnings of $81 million.

On a per-share basis, the Milford, Massachusetts-based company said it had net income of 82 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were $4.10 per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $3.99 per share.

The maker of products used in drug discovery and development posted revenue of $1.77 billion in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.75 billion.

For the current quarter ending in December, Waters expects its per-share earnings to range from $4.58 to $4.68.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $1.8 billion to $1.9 billion for the fiscal fourth quarter.

Waters expects full-year earnings in the range of $14.60 to $14.70 per share, with revenue ranging from $6.48 billion to $6.5 billion.
