ABB Lands Two Orders to Supply Technologies for Cold Rolling Mills in China

11:56 AM EST, 11/02/2026 (MT Newswires) -- ABB (ABBN.SW, ABB.ST) received two orders from Chinese aluminum producer Southwest Aluminum to supply integrated automation, process control, and digital systems for two six-high cold rolling mills. The deal involves a 2,500-millimeter two-stand mill and a 3,000-mm single-stand mill, the Swiss electrification and automation company said Monday. Both mills are set to be fully commissioned and operational by 2027-end.
