CSPC Group (01093): Phase I/II clinical trial of SYS6052 (recombinant herpes zoster virus vaccine (CHO cells)) officially launched in China

Zhitong Finance App News, Shiyao Group (01093) announced that phase I/II clinical trials of the SYS6052 recombinant shingles virus vaccine (Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells) developed by the Group have officially started in China.

This product is a recombinant protein vaccine product developed by the Group. It consists of varicella-zoster virus glycoprotein E (gE) protein antigen and a novel nano-adjuvant system independently developed by the Group. By optimizing the antigen and nano-adjuvant system, the product can induce strong humoral immunity and cellular immune responses.

The Group received the “Drug Clinical Trial Approval Notice” issued by the State Drug Administration of the People's Republic of China in July 2026, and initiated a randomized, blinded, controlled phase I/II clinical trial after approval to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of this product in people aged 40 and above. Currently, the recruitment and screening of participants for this clinical trial is being actively promoted.
