Statistics from Daiwa Securities show that from April to September this year, the scale of Japanese yen bonds issued by foreign entities reached a record high. The total amount of yen bonds issued by foreign institutions in Japan and yen bonds issued overseas was approximately 2.5 trillion yen, an increase of 160% over the previous year, exceeding the 2.1 trillion yen record set from October 2018 to March 2019.
