ECB Trims Commerzbank's Pillar 2 Capital Requirement for 2027

10:44 AM EDT, 10/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The European Central Bank lowered Commerzbank's (CBK.F) additional own funds requirement for Pillar 2, effective Jan. 1, 2027, following an annual supervisory review and evaluation process. The German bank's capital requirement was cut by 5 basis points to 2.10% of total capital, with at least 1.18% to be covered using Common Equity Tier 1 capital, according to a Tuesday release. The additional own funds requirement for the leverage ratio is unchanged at 0.1%.
