07:18 AM EDT, 10/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- UBS Global Research expects Haleon's (HLN.L) upcoming third-quarter trading update on Thursday to show a "sequential uptick" in prices and a deceleration in volume growth. In a third-quarter earnings preview report on Monday, analysts project organic sales growth of 3.1% for the three months, in line with second-quarter levels but behind the Visible Alpha consensus forecast of 3.4%. By category, the British consumer healthcare company's oral health, vitamins, minerals and supplements, and respiratory health are expected to strengthen on a sequential basis, while pain relief and digestive health are expected to weaken. "Net: our 9M OSG forecast of 2.8% signals that Haleon's OSG will have to be over the 4% mark in Q4 for the company to reach the bottom-end of its FY26 OSG guidance of 3-5%; said differently, achieving 3%+ OSG in FY26 is now predicated on a slightly stronger Cough & Cold season in Europe/ North America vs. last year's abnormally low incidence," the research firm said. Given "limited visibility" into the upcoming cold and cough season, UBS expects management to "err on the side of caution" and trim full-year 2026 organic sales growth guidance to "around 3%" from the current 3% to 5% range.
