01:50 AM EDT, 10/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Volkswagen (VOW.F, VOW3.F) will reportedly launch a new factory in Georgia, US, to manufacture its Audi-branded vehicles, Bloomberg News reported Oct. 24, citing an undisclosed US official. The German automotive company's new facility will produce its Audi Q7, Q8, and Q9 models and is expected to have an annual production capacity of 200,000 vehicles. The source said the company also intends to expand the capacity of its Scout Motors plant in South Carolina. The source added that the projects aim to allow Volkswagen to continue talks with US President Donald Trump regarding a tariff reprieve for automotive manufacturers in the US. Volkswagen did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
