HEXPOL came into this Q3 2026 print out of favour, with the share price down about 4% over the past week and roughly 3% over the past month, despite a lower than peer P/E of 17.8x. The fresh numbers tell a different story. Revenue reached SEK 5.3b and adjusted earnings before interest and tax landed at SEK 723m, with organic growth concentrated in higher quality thermoplastic and engineered products. The stock closed at SEK 93.5 today, which keeps the valuation below an internal fair value estimate of SEK 191.24 and gives this earnings beat a muted headline reaction.

The bullish view hangs on HEXPOL turning project plans into measurable operating gains rather than just higher sales.
"The main thing that has to go right is that HEXPOL successfully converts more captive in house compounding volumes, executes on thermoplastic and rubber growth projects and keeps EBIT margins within its new 14 to 16% ambition while funding this through disciplined cash generation."
Thermoplastic Compounding is tracking that script, with 19% organic growth and margin expansion plus two higher margin deals in Vipa and Symplast. Engineered Products posted about 21% EBIT margin, so the higher quality earnings mix is moving in the right direction. Group adjusted EBIT margin at 13.6% sits below the 14 to 16% ambition, although strong Q3 operating cash flow and net debt around 1x EBITDA back the cash discipline pillar.

The bearish story questions whether HEXPOL can push growth projects and acquisitions without eroding profitability.
"Thermoplastic Compounding is being pushed as a growth engine, with SEK 4.6b in 2025 sales and plans to move into engineered and high performance polymers within a USD 75b addressable market. However, margins are currently below Rubber and depend on unproven synergies from future acquisitions that may fall short of what is needed to support group EBIT margins in the 14 to 16 percent range."
Q3 shows exactly that trade off. Thermoplastics delivered 19 percent organic growth and better unit economics, yet group adjusted EBIT margin sits at 13.6 percent, below the 14 to 16 percent ambition. Rubber Compounding margin softened after taking lower margin contracts and OpEx has reset higher. Net debt around 1x EBITDA limits balance sheet risk, but this print does not yet disprove worries about sustaining target profitability while scaling M&A heavy thermoplastics.
