Evolution walked into its Q3 2026 release with the share price at SEK841.4 after a flat week and only a small pullback over the past month. That is not the setup you usually see for a stock where emotions run hot. The new numbers showed net revenue of €526.1m and adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation margin at 65.8%. That combination points to one thing investors are wrestling with today: the story is all about whether the market is properly pricing an earnings machine with a margin profile this strong.
If you are interested in Evolution’s earnings profile but would prefer similar margin strength across a different combination of sectors and regions, you can compare it with our list of solid balance sheet and fundamentals stocks (204 results).
"The main thing that has to go right is that Evolution converts its heavy game release schedule and new studio capacity into durable growth in regulated markets, while managing regulatory constraints in Europe and cybercrime related volatility in Asia."
On that score, Evolution is partially delivering. Live titles such as Ice Fishing are helping, with Live revenues inching ahead and game rounds rising, but group net revenue is only up 3.7% year on year. RNG is doing more of the heavy lifting with double digit growth. Studio expansion to 27 sites and higher North and Latin American revenues signal capacity coming online, although Europe’s revenue decline and only modest Asia progress show that regulation and piracy are still limiting how fully that pipeline translates into durable, broad based growth.

The cautious view on Evolution centers on whether Europe’s regulatory squeeze turns into a structural earnings drag.
"Although Evolution continues to report a high share of revenue from regulated markets, the combination of stricter European ring fencing, gaming taxes around and above 30% to 40% and channelization falling toward roughly 50% in some countries points to a longer period of depressed regional revenue contribution and structurally lower net margins if this mix persists."
Q3 shows that concern is not hypothetical. European revenue fell 4.7% year on year and only edged 0.4% sequentially, even as group net revenue rose 3.7%. EBITDA margin held at 65.8%, so the feared margin crack has not arrived, but the regional shortfall means overseas strength is still only masking, not fixing, the problem the bear case flags.
Evolution just showed how a rich margin profile can still leave investors debating the right price. The real opportunity is finding stocks that could be undervalued before the market corrects them.
