According to the news, on October 16, Reading Text Group released the first batch of AI boutique animation projects and upgraded DramaBuddy's Comic Assistant to an OPC one-stop platform to provide creators with a complete link from the IP source to AI production and full network distribution. In the first half of this year, the revenue from the short drama and comic business of Reading Text Group exceeded 430 million yuan, more than three times that of the same period last year. Up to now, the Reading Text Group has over 660 comics broadcast over 10 million, of which 107 have surpassed 100 million views.

According to a research report released by Citigroup, AI is driving the explosion of content. The supply of short dramas in China surged 13 times in the first 8 months of 2026, serving more than 800 million users, and watching time for more than 50 minutes per person per day, seizing the share of time for long videos, online articles, and casual games. The bank believes that the surge in content supply will benefit more platforms, IP and AI video tools, and is optimistic about the leading IP Reading Group.
