Nordex Bags First Wind Turbines Order From New Zealand

03:44 AM EDT, 10/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Nordex Group (NDX1.F) landed an order for 40 N133/4.8 wind turbines from Mercury, an electricity generator and retailer in New Zealand, according to a Thursday release. The 192-megawatt turbines will be installed at a wind farm in the Otago region of New Zealand's South Island from early 2028, with commissioning of the first unit planned for mid-2028. Additionally, the wind turbine manufacturer and Mercury signed a 30-year service agreement for the project, which marks Nordex's entry into the New Zealand wind energy market.
