11:43 PM EDT, 10/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Qiagen (QIA.F) agreed to an all-cash takeover offer from Swedish private equity group EQT's (EQT.ST) XI fund at 46.50 euros per share, or at an enterprise value of 10.8 billion euros. The offer was made by Crown NL Bidco, a holding company indirectly controlled by the EQT XI fund, with indirect participation from units of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, according to a Wednesday release. The boards of Qiagen plan to recommend that shareholders tender their shares in the offer. Completion is expected in mid-2027, subject to regulatory clearances, shareholder approvals, and a minimum acceptance threshold of 50% of Qiagen's outstanding share capital plus one share. Following the takeover, Qiagen is expected to delist from the Frankfurt and New York stock exchanges.
