Bitcoin Taps $84,000 but It's MSTR That's 'Massively Undervalued,' Samson Mow Argues

Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) tapped $84,000 Wednesday as JAN3 CEO Samson Mow predicts another major rally, citing fading selling pressure and accelerating corporate treasury demand.

Speaking to the Bitcoin Magazine on Tuesday, Mow dismissed Bitcoin’s traditional four-year cycle, arguing that its price movements are driven by supply and demand rather than predictable patterns.

He pointed to Bitcoin reaching an all-time high before the 2024 halving as evidence that historical cycles are becoming less relevant.

Mow believes recent selling has largely come from weaker holders exiting positions, potentially setting the stage for another rally.

He argued that Bitcoin does not need a specific macroeconomic catalyst to move higher, with sustained demand and declining selling pressure sufficient to drive prices upward.

Why Are BTC Treasury Companies Undervalued?

Mow described Bitcoin treasury companies, particularly Michael Saylor’s Strategy (NASDAQ:MSTR) as "massively undervalued."

He highlighted continued accumulation by Strategy and Strive (NASDAQ:ASST), noting that corporate purchases exceeding newly mined Bitcoin supply could create a self-reinforcing cycle.

Rising Bitcoin prices could strengthen treasury company valuations, potentially enabling additional capital raises and Bitcoin purchases.

Mow also expects more companies, including AI businesses, to adopt Bitcoin treasury strategies.

He believes sovereign adoption will eventually accelerate, although political resistance and Bitcoin’s volatility have slowed progress.

Could AI and Stablecoins Drive BTC Adoption?

Mow identified AI-powered commerce as a major opportunity for Bitcoin, predicting that autonomous agents could hold Bitcoin for savings while using stablecoins for transactions.

He described stablecoins as a gateway to Bitcoin adoption, particularly in Latin America, where consumers increasingly use digital dollars to protect against local currency depreciation.

On quantum computing risks, Mow argued that practical threats remain distant and highlighted Blockstream’s work on hash-based signatures as a potential defense.

He maintained that Bitcoin has a path toward stronger security without requiring immediate changes.
