The 2026 International Council for Science Mid-Term Member Meeting and Beijing Science Dialogue opened yesterday in Beijing. More than 1,230 Chinese and foreign science and technology representatives from 88 countries and regions attended the conference. At the opening ceremony, the “Beijing Science Declaration” was released. The initiative focuses on major topics such as science as a global public good, responsible artificial intelligence, and scientific and social trust to form a common proposition for global scientific development after 2030.
