Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ:ESLT) stock edged higher on Monday. The company announced a $235 million contract to supply rocket artillery systems to a European customer.
Elbit Systems develops defense technologies across air, land, and naval applications.
The company will supply EXTRA-MR rockets and PULS rocket artillery systems under a government-to-government agreement involving Israel’s Ministry of Defense and the customer’s Ministry of Defense.
The three-year contract also includes PULS launchers, additional rocket artillery platforms, and integrated logistics support.
The EXTRA-MR precision-guided rocket can strike targets up to 80 kilometers away and works with Elbit’s PULS launchers and existing C4I architectures.
“This contract award further strengthens Elbit Systems’ position as a global leader in rocket artillery systems and reflects the growing international demand for our advanced rocket and launcher capabilities,” President and CEO Bezhalel (Butzi) Machlis said.
Elbit Systems remains in a mixed technical setup, trading below its 20-day, 50-day, and 100-day moving averages.
The RSI stands at 61.63, signaling neutral momentum, while the MACD remains above its signal line, pointing to some short-term strength.
A death cross formed in September when the 50-day SMA fell below the 200-day SMA, keeping the broader technical picture cautious.
Despite the recent weakness, ESLT has gained 53.97% over the past 12 months and remains closer to its 52-week high than its low.
Elbit’s next estimated earnings report is scheduled for Nov. 17, 2026.
Analysts expect EPS of $3.87, up from $3.35 a year earlier, on revenue of $2.21 billion versus $1.92 billion.
Elbit trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of 56.8.
The stock carries a Hold consensus rating with an average price forecast of $837.50.
Recent analyst actions include Jefferies maintaining a Hold rating while lowering its target to $790 on Oct. 5, JPMorgan maintaining Neutral with an $885 target on Aug. 19, and Jefferies maintaining Hold with an $880 target on June 24.
The Benzinga Edge scorecard shows:
Overall, Elbit Systems scores well on growth, quality, and momentum, while valuation remains the main weaker area.
