08:32 AM EDT, 10/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The Tadawul All Share Index closed the Monday trading session 0.65% in the red as renewed US-Iran threats heightened fears of a further escalation in regional tensions. US President Donald Trump warned in a social media post that the US would "soon finish the job" if Iran did not change its ways. Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi responded on X, urging Trump to "be careful." Adding to regional security concerns, the US virtual embassy for Iran issued a security alert on Sunday, urging American citizens in the Middle East to exercise heightened vigilance due to the complex security environment. Amid renewed threats, Araghchi told Iranian media that Tehran's September proposal to the US to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days remains valid, Reuters reported. On the corporate front, a unit of Alandalus Property (SASE:4320) agreed to acquire a 44,550-square-meter land parcel in Riyadh's Al Mashael District for 83.8 million Saudi riyals. The land will be used for logistics warehouse development. The property company's shares ended 1.06% in the green. Meanwhile, Saudi water desalination company Acwa's (SASE:2082) shares gained 0.76% after it revealed a partnership with a Petro Matad affiliate to potentially export renewable energy into China from Mongolia. Looking ahead, investors will turn their attention to Saudi Arabia's third-quarter real estate price index, due for release on Tuesday.
