07:31 AM EDT, 10/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The European Medicines Agency's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use recommended approval for Revolution Medicines' Rasonque for adults with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma, or pancreatic cancer that has spread. The positive opinion for Rasonque, or daraxonrasib, covers the use of the oral treatment for adults with the condition who have previously received at least one treatment, according to a Thursday notice. The recommendation follows a phased review of data on the US company's drug, which was identified under EMA's Cancer Medicines Pathfinder project as a high-priority medicine that could address an unmet medical need. RAS inhibitor, Rasonque's active substance, has also been tested in a phase 3 open-label, multinational study, where patients treated with the drug lived for a median of 12.4 months, compared with 6.7 months for those treated with chemotherapy. The drug is subject to final approval from the European Commission.
