Bundesbank Governor Joachim Nagel said in Bangkok on Friday that in the context of the turbulent bond market, Germany will remain a pillar of stability in Europe. After years of economic stagnation, Germany is “recovering its energy.” Nagle said that the recent turmoil in the bond market is due to a combination of high inflation, economic resilience growth, and rising capital demand for artificial intelligence companies. “I don't think this will trigger a major financial crisis,” he said at the press conference of the annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank held in the capital of Thailand. He added that Germany is adopting a “robust plan” for economic reforms to prepare for future challenges. The government should fully implement the reforms so that people can personally experience the positive effects of the reforms. German Finance Minister Lars Klinbeier attended the press conference with Nagel. He said, “Among the G7 member countries, our economic growth rate is second.”
