The US nuclear-powered aircraft carrier “Roosevelt” sailed into the Yokosuka base of the US military stationed in Japan in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan today. The aircraft carrier “Roosevelt” left its home port of San Diego in September and is expected to be dispatched to the Middle East for deployment. Allegedly, this stop “may only be a short stop” to replenish supplies and allow the crew to recuperate. This is the first time since 2022 that an aircraft carrier not using the Yokosuka base as its home port has docked at this base.
