British Monthly Construction Output Slips 0.2% in August

02:27 AM EDT, 10/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Construction output in the UK edged down 0.2% month over month in August, following a revised 0.5% fall in July, the Office for National Statistics said Thursday. The consensus estimate for the month was zero growth. On a yearly basis, construction output was 1.8% lower, compared with the revised 1.9% decline previously and the expected 1.6% decrease.
