Delta Air Lines Postpones Inaugural Direct US-Saudi Flight

11:14 AM EDT, 10/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Delta Air Lines is moving the launch of its first nonstop flight between Atlanta, US, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to March 2027 from October 23, 2026. The US carrier, which noted safety and security concerns due to current developments in the Middle East, said Monday it is coordinating with government and airline partners, including Saudia and Riyadh Air, while monitoring the situation. The launch was announced Aug. 5.
