KOF Global Barometers Remain in Growth Territory in October

08:53 AM EDT, 10/09/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The KOF Swiss Economic Institute's global economic barometers remained above the 100-point level in October, indicating continued "moderate" economic growth. The coincident global barometer rose 0.7 points to 105.5 points, marking its highest level since March 2022, according to a Friday release. Meanwhile, the leading barometer remained stable at 106.4 points. The increase in the coincident barometer was attributed to positive contributions from the Western Hemisphere, Europe, and Asia Pacific & Africa regions. On the other hand, the stable leading barometer was mainly due to positive contributions from Europe and the Western Hemisphere, offsetting the Asia Pacific & Africa region's negative contribution.
