10:38 AM EDT, 10/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- BNP Paribas (BNP.PA) landed a mandate to help source new funding for the renovation of Commerzbank's (CBK.F) main office tower in Frankfurt, Germany, Bloomberg News reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter. The tower's owner, Samsung SRA Asset Management, reportedly tapped the French bank to sound out investors for 150 million euros in preferred equity and to advise on refinancing an existing loan of 360 million euros. The sources said it is unclear whether Commerzbank will renew its lease, which expires in 2032. However, the German lender is in talks with Samsung SRA and would be interested in renewing once the tower is refurbished, although no definitive outcome has been reached. BNP Paribas did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
