Renault Group Partners with EDF to Develop Smart Charging Solutions for EVs

03:36 AM EDT, 10/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Renault Group (RNO.PA) is teaming up with energy company EDF Group to develop smart charging solutions for electric vehicles, according to a Thursday release. The partnership will cover the commercialization and installation of charging stations, service development, and the creation of new technologies that will enable the partial return to the grid of stored electricity from the French carmaker's Renault, Alpine and Dacia brands of electric vehicles. The rollout of the jointly developed solutions is expected in the summer of 2027.
