Adid Unit Qitaf, Global Academy to Develop Abu Dhabi Aquaculture Project

01:25 AM EDT, 10/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Qitaf, a unit of Abu Dhabi National Investment and Development (ADX:ADID), or Adid, entered into a memorandum of understanding with Global Academy Ltd. to develop an aquaculture platform. The agreement aims to boost Abu Dhabi's aquaculture and seafood production to 30,000 tonnes per year upon reaching full-scale operation, according to a Wednesday filing. Global Academy will seek partners to transfer and localize Japanese aquaculture technology for the project. Qitaf, meanwhile, will focus on the project's approvals, regulatory requirements, and definitive agreements, among others.
