Groupe BPCE Buys 7% Stake in Banco de Sabadell

02:20 AM EDT, 10/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Groupe BPCE acquired 7% of the total share capital of Banco de Sabadell (SAB.MC), according to a Tuesday release. The French banking group said it amassed the strategic shareholding through friendly equity investments in line with a plan to be a long-term shareholder of the Spanish lender. It noted that it does not plan to own more than 9.9% of the Spanish bank's total share capital.
