Moody's Affirms Air Liquide Ratings, Stable Outlook

11:34 PM EDT, 10/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Moody's Ratings affirmed Air Liquide's (AI.PA) A2 long-term issuer rating, with a stable outlook, after the company announced a 4 billion-euro share buyback program on Monday. The credit agency said in a same-day note that the French industrial gases company's forecast credit metrics remain strong and in line with expectations for the rating if the repurchase program proceeds between 2027 and 2028. Moody's also affirmed the (P)A2 ratings on the group's senior unsecured medium-term note programs, the A2 ratings on senior unsecured notes, and the Prime-1 commercial paper and short-term issuer ratings.
